Until 2021, each organisation joining BDB was offered the opportunity to apply for a £5,000 grant to fund a project that would contribute to their outcomes. A further £5,000 grant was awarded to each organisation who were able to demonstrate continuous learning and development. These grants were funded directly by the Sylvia Adams Charitable Trust and managed by ASUK. Each organisation completed an action plan and a monitoring form which included key observations, evidence and metrics. Guidance was provided by the BDB team throughout with opportunities to join webinars and take part in further training.

We are incredibly proud of the achievements all organisations have made and for the dedication, hard work and commitment each individual and organisation has shown to improve the overall services and support they provide to people affected by genetic conditions.
