Breaking Down Barriers offer a wide range of training and development opportunities for members.

This training is centred around the topic of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion but also on the topic of sustainability.

BDB pride themselves on providing a safe and open space where sensitive topics are explored in a honest way.

We don’t ever say we are the ‘experts’ at Breaking Down Barriers, this is all about learning, development and growth between us all throughout the network.

Training Overview

Equity, diversity and cultural awareness training
This training begins with an introduction to EDI, followed by our ‘Walking on Eggshells’ training session which gives a deeper exploration into this topic and offers the opportunity for honest and open conversations.

Marketing and Branding
These sessions look at how your charities brand, colours, images and approaches can impact how people view your charity. Exploring marketing is so important to engage with your community, funders and the general public alike.

Fundraising
The world is changing and so too is fundraising, how to develop your fundraising strategy to reflect this virtual world and ways to build relationships to engage your communities and funders in these difficult times.

Social Media
An interactive look into the world of social media, what works and ways to engage different communities with different channels and approaches.

Review my website and merchandise
These 1-1 sessions will give you a brief review of your website and marketing materials, giving you top tips and ways to develop now and in the future.

All the BDB training is interactive, so we therefore limit the numbers to 20 spaces. Spaces are reserved on a first come, first served basis.
