The NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSE&I) have launched a consultation in relation to the management and updating of the National Genomic Test Directory, which is part of the NHS Genomic Medicine Service.
The Test Directory specifies which genomic tests are commissioned by NHS England, the technology by which they are available, and the patients who will be eligible to access a test.
This consultation seeks feedback on the proposed process for the Test Directory to ensure that it is kept up to date with current testing and technologies to get the best possible diagnostic and clinical outcomes for patients, and to ensure testing is available for all who need it. Feedback received via the consultation will be evaluated and used to inform any changes required to the approach and implementation of the Test Directory.
Full details on the consultation are accessible here and please remember only responses will be considered if submitted via the consultation survey, also available via the same link. The deadline for submissions is 11.59pm on Thursday 19th November 2020.
For any further information in relation to this consultation, please contact the NHS England and NHS Improvement Genomics Unit at email@example.com.
